All resources are controlled centrally and this enables us here at Sersa to react fast and flexibly when deploying resources to meet different requirements.

Rhomberg Sersa Deutschland, formerly called Sersa Group Deutschland, has been serving public and private railways for 26 years. Together with its sister companies, Rhomberg Sersa Deutschland is one of the most important providers for all types of construction and track gauges in Germany, including new construction and conversion and maintenance of railway infrastructure. With more than 500 employees in 9 locations, it also covers mechanical track construction, rail welding, inspection, facility management, and training.

Rhomberg Rail Engineering has its headquarters in Bregenz (AT) as well as locations in Zürich (CH), Essen (D) and Vienna (AT). It offers a comprehensive range of services as a main contractor and is a market leader in railway technology, project management, and construction technology. Rhomberg Rail Engineering has worked on major projects, for example “Sydhavn Metro“ in Copenhagen and is currently working in partnership with Swietelsky on planning, implementation, and commissioning the Ulm – Wendlingen High-Speed Line, which has a length of 60 km.

Bahnbau Wels, located in Upper Austria, has 70 years of experience in the railway sector behind them. In addition to services in mechanical track construction and the maintenance of track construction machines, the company and its subsidiaries Bittner Bahn- und Gleisbau, Rhomberg Gleisbau, and Universale Bau offer a wide range of services in commercial track construction. Rhomberg Fahrleitungsbau, a specialist for catenary systems and electrical installations, completes the extensive portfolio of services offered by the Bahnbau Wels Group. Modern machinery and well-trained employees combined with decades of know-how guarantee the highest precision in the implementation of customer projects. The group has 470 employees at six locations.

Donatsch Söhne AG based in Landquart in Switzerland, stands for solid and high-quality manufacturing of steel products. What its ancestors once started 140 years ago as a village blacksmith and locksmith's shop has developed into an industrial company with core competencies in construction and railway engineering. The business offers various services in the field of railway superstructure and overhead contact lines in the railway technology sector. Repairs and conversions of rail vehicles as well as the in-house production of components and the construction of special devices and wagons are also part of the portfolio. Today the Donatsch Söhne AG is known far beyond the borders of the canton in the world of railway.

Donatsch Söhne AG has been a Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group company since the 1st of January 2020.

As a full-service provider, the RS safetec GmbH offers an almost comprehensive range of services for monitoring and communication on major construction sites.

The agile and innovative business RS safetec was founded on the pillars of two traditional companies, which bring decades of experience in pioneering major projects in the railway and construction sector. The Rhomberg Sersa Bahntechnik GmbH and the K.E.M. Montage GmbH have been joined through an expert partnership in the field of construction site support for many years.

Innovation, reliability and quality are the pillars of the RS safetec GmbH, who has maintained a high level of customer satisfaction for years, including projects such as the Brenner access line and base tunnel, Semmering base tunnel, the Wiener Seestadt Aspern project, the CEVA railway line, the new Wendlingen-Ulm line and many more.

The joint venture of Vossloh and Rhomberg Sersa, operating as Rhomberg Sersa Vossloh GmbH, specialises in switch and track maintenance (switch service and diagnosis) and offers a wide range of services for a value-preserving infrastructure management. Apart from the economically efficient provision of an operationally safe rail track, the focus is on the long-term asset preservation at an excellent cost-benefit ratio. Rhomberg Sersa Vossloh GmbH has its registered office in Longuich near Trier in Rhineland-Palatinate.

We have a track record for successfully delivering complex solutions and applying innovation that saves our clients both time and money while increasing every aspect of safety. Whether it be complex design and building slab track projects, or the deployment of our unique On Track machines, our staff are able to meet our clients’ expectations in terms of cost and quality all while our safety record remains impeccable.

Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group Ireland is one of the latest additions to the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group family, something we’re very proud of! Based in scenic County Kildare, we have a team of 60 colleagues working with Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail to deliver tamping, ballast regulating, ballast cleaning and other On Track Machine operations. Something that’s unique for a RSRG company is that we operate a fleet of OTMs that are the property of the infrastructure owner, and these machines are maintained by us at a client owned workshop. This is a new, less capital intensive, exciting business model within the Group. We operate on the Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail network under our own Safety Case and we are licensed by the Irish Commission for Rail Regulation. We work closely with RSRG sister companies to offer a full range of rail services in Ireland.

Rhomberg Sersa Australia is one of the largest self-delivery rail companies in Australia. It operates across all states and has state-of-the-art rail maintenance equipment. Rhomberg has invested extensively in new plants and equipment solely for the Australian market. It has over 150 employees with office locations in Sydney, Thornton, Queensland, and Western Australia.

Rhomberg Sersa North America was formed from the merger of the Canadian divisions of Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, Sersa Total Track Ltd., and its sister company Rhomberg Sersa Rail Canada Ltd., to strengthen and enhance capabilities, expertise, and infrastructure across the region and North America. Whether constructing or maintaining Class 1 freight railways and passenger transit systems in Canada and the USA, Rhomberg Sersa North America has continuously delivered quality projects to the highest standards.
