Hawkesbury River Bridge Upgrade
We’re proud to be nearing practical completion of a major infrastructure milestone for our client, Sydney Trains — the Hawkesbury River Bridge Walkway Upgrade.
We’re proud to be nearing practical completion of a major infrastructure milestone for our client, Sydney Trains — the Hawkesbury River Bridge Walkway Upgrade.
As part of this first-of-its-kind project, Rhomberg Sersa Australia designed, fabricated, and installed a new 800-metre walkway on the down side of the iconic bridge. Built to improve access and safety, the new path sits outside the rail danger zone and includes a new route for high-voltage cables beneath.
Delivered with minimal disruption to rail services and installed using innovate access & cranage solutions, this project is a testament to the skill and dedication of our Steelwork and Infrastructure teams, and a great example of in-house innovation — from custom lifting gear to full steel fabrication at our Horsley Park facility.
With only minor scope to complete we wanted to extend a huge thanks to the RSA team and Sydney Trains for their partnership in bringing this complex and critical project to life.
